My Gran lived in North East India in the earlier years of her life, and her house was a shrine to the beautiful Himalayan mountain ranges that surrounded her childhood. When she died I inherited a few of her paintings and photographs, which I hate to say aren't looking their best. This print is a study from a very old black & white photograph of the enormous Kangchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. I chose the colours of a sunset, the famous 'pink' glow the mountain receives as the sun is setting on the Himalaya.
